Essal Institute is opening its Digital Collaboration Lab this semester. Software, QA, and design students can use the room for group projects, device testing, and workshops.
A Space Designed for Teamwork
The room is set up for teams rather than lectures.
- Shared workstations. Each group has two screens and a mobile whiteboard for design reviews, pair programming, and planning.
- Test devices. QA and frontend students can check their work on iOS and Android phones and tablets.
- Fibre connection. The network supports cloud builds, remote sessions, and large downloads.
Encouraging Peer Learning
The lab will also host hackathons, open-source workshops, and guest sessions. Students can book it for course projects when a class is not using it.
